The Deepavali festival

For the Indian population, the Deepavali festival is the most beloved and picturesque event of the year. Held on a new moon night determined by the Hindu lunar calendar, this festival of lights takes place between mid-October and mid-November. Christmas

Christmas is another festival that's celebrated with gusto by devout locals, expats, tourists and anyone who enjoys a good time. The famed shopping street of Orchard Road becomes a tropical winter wonderland for the festive season. Other than splendid lights and decorations, Orchard Road is also the scene for concerts, carols, and regular parades, games, music and theatre.
